People Over Profit Week: August 1 - 7, 2026

Join LA organizers for a full week of events! We have groups across the city doing incredible work fighting authoritarianism. Pick an event, make a plan, and add your talents to the resistance! We're fighting the same battles, let's win the war together.

Why now?

Billionaires buy our elected officials while Geo Group and CoreCivic profit off prison camps. Corporations like Amazon, Home Depot, and Wal-Mart exploit our fellow workers. ICE kidnappings have surged to an all-time high. This regime has shown it's willing to do anything to maintain power. We must resist. We must organize.

What can I do?

By withdrawing our money and labor and putting it back into our communities, we can win. Going to Whole Foods? Try a farmers' markets or street vendor instead. Painting your room? Forget Home Depot and buy from your local hardware store. Move your money from a big bank to a local credit union. Every step counts, no matter how small.
