demands
This is not an exhaustive list.
Every General Strike US (GSUS) chapter will have a different set of demands. We have crafted this list in consultation with our membership and local policy experts. In the event of a general strike in LA, we will present these demands to the LA County Board of Supervisors, LA City Council, and the LA Mayor, among others.
1. ICE Out
All ICE agents immediately and permanently removed from LA County.
2. Rent Control
Enact rent control across LA County and push for the statewide repeal of Costa-Hawkins.
3. Tax the Rich
Increase taxes on those whose with a high net worth.
